About the Bindi Ayurvedic Range:

Bindi is America’s award winning, number one, Ayurvedic skin and body range. It was developed by Dr Pratima Raichur, who used her degrees in botany, naturopathy and chemistry to create this beautiful line. Bindi is widely used in quality day spas and beauty salons that prefer to treat their clients with nurturing products. The range has been going strong in the U.S for fifteen years now, but has only just been made available to Australia since 2005.

Bindi’s products are known as ‘food for your skin’. When you use this range you are effectively feeding your skin, whilst teaching you skin to repair and renew itself. No harsh elements to strip your skin of its much needed natural oils.

There are many specialised professional treatment products ranging from acne masks and acne soothing lotions to anti aging firming masks. There is also a full spa range of body scrubs, masks and massage oils, as well as the totally unique non-foaming herbal hair cleanser and lavender herbal hair treatment oil.

Ayurveda

Bindi products are based on the ancient principles of Ayurveda – the original healing science of India. Ayurvedic wisdom holds that providing the skin with the purest nourishment possible not only allows for total self-correction of the skin, but also has a profound effect on the entire person. The Bindi range encompasses all of these principles but brings the philosophy into the western world with fine quality, divine smelling ingredients that will change the way you think about Indian essences. This is not an incense scented range, but a modern line of products filled with the tempting aromas of citrus, lavender, sweet almond, peppermint, as well as the herbal scents of nutmeg, coriander, basil and cardamom just to name a few.

Ayurvedic products are personalized for use on your pre-determined skin and personality type. The three types are known as the DOSHAS.

The Doshas:

There are three Doshas or constitutions that make up your skin and personality type. Vata, Pitta and Kapha.

VATA: is suited for dry, dehydrated skin types. Vata personalities are usually anxious and restless and are represented by space and air, so the Bindi vata range helps balance with warming, grounding ingredients.

PITTA: is suited for sensitive skin. Pitta personalities are usually very passionate in nature and are represented by fire and water, so the Bindi Pitta range balances with cooling, soothing ingredients.

KAPHA: is suited for oily skin. Kapha personalities usually have a calm, laid back nature and are represented by earth and water, so the Bindi Kapha range balances with light, stimulating ingredients.

Although usually we are dominant in one Dosha, many of us have traits that are represented in all three doshas. For people with combination skin or for those who are not sure what range to start with, Bindi has a Basic range. This range is very cleverly formulated to correct multi imbalances within the skin.

BASIC: is suited for ALL skin and personality types and helps with many different imbalances.
